Do dermatologists recommend Zo?

ZO has been created and produced by leading Beverly Hills Dermatologist Dr. Zein Obagi and is recommended and used by dermatologists and Skin Experts all over the world. Zo skinhealth is also recognised as the No.1 Physician-dispensed medical skincare brand in Europe.

Generally, it takes 6 weeks for adjustment and tolerance, but you can begin to see cellular turnover within two weeks. As you continue to use ZO, more dead layers are exfoliated, brown spots diminished, skin texture becomes smoother, fine lines and wrinkles reduced.

Step by Step

  1. Cleanse.
  2. Exfoliate
  3. Tone
  4. Prevent + Correct.
  5. Protect

Dryness, redness, flakiness, burning or stinging are all normal, anticipated reactions when starting retinol. With regular product use, skin will acclimate, revealing a smoother, more even-toned and youthful-looking complexion. You can incorporate your retinol with a ZO® functional hydrator to minimize anticipated reactions.

Dr Zein Obagi believes that moisturiser affect the skins’ ability to produce natural hydration, which in turn can lead to dryness, dullness and overly sensitive skin. We believe are bodies can create our own natural hydration.

Initially, retinols can irritate the skin, so it’s advised to start slow, once every few days, and then gradually increase to once or twice per day. At first, you might experience redness, itching or burning, but these symptoms go away as your skin gets used to the treatment.

Skin purging is a temporary skin reaction that can occur when introducing new skincare products, especially those with active ingredients like retinols or exfoliating acids. It involves a period where the skin pushes impurities (like dead skin cells, excess oil, and clogged pores) to the surface, often resulting in increased breakouts. This is different from a regular breakout because it’s a reaction to an active ingredient that speeds up cell turnover, bringing underlying congestion to the surface.

The answer is yes, however, ZO Skin Health can only be sold by authorised stockists who have the knowledge and expertise to correctly prescribe your regime. Sellers on eBay, Amazon or other free to buy retailers are unauthorised, and the product is likely counterfeit, expired or contaminated. They may not be safe to use, or they may not perform as tested, and ZO will not take any responsibility for related problems or dissatisfaction.

ZO Skin Health is a medical grade product line that rejuvenates the skin and enhances its overall condition. ZO Skin Health treatments can only be prescribed by medical professionals qualified to restructure skin at the cellular level.

Some ZO Skin Health products require a prescription to purchase. However, most of the range is freely available to purchase after your skin consultation.

Some products contain active ingredients (such as retinol and hydroquinone) that are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Other products in the range may be suitable, but because every individual’s needs are different, we always recommend a consultation before use. During your consultation, we can review your skin concerns, discuss safe options, and create a plan that supports both you and your baby. We also encourage you to check with your GP, midwife, or dermatologist for added reassurance.
